So I'm just curious about Baron's (Yaeger) pedigree. I understood him to come from WGSL but it appears almost all of his grandparents back are SchH or other titles.
I guess I'm just curious about the dogs. I dunno.. lol ![]() Yaeger Von Rheinhardt - German shepherd dog

He is WGSL. In Germany, all GSDs-- working and show lines both-- are required to have SchH titles in order to be bred. (for the offspring to be registerable)

oh ok! I didn't realize they had to have SchH. I just figured they had to have some sort of title maybe in confirmation as they are show line. It makes sense though. Thanks!

I was just looking through some of the titles like 4x SG1, 11XV1, FH1, and IP03. I see that "V" is "Vorzuglich
Excellent show or performance rating - dog must minimally have a SchH 1 title." So having the 11x in front does that mean 11 times?

11 times V1, means the dog was show in conformation shows and 11 times was awarded the rating of V1. The SG (Sehr Gut - Very Good) rating is for 12-18 months old and 18-24 months old, not titled, but can also be given in the titled class - just not as good of a rating as V. The FH1 is the Tracking title, much more difficult than the tracking required for a SchH title. IPO is similar to the SchH title.
Hope that explains a little bit for you.

There is nothing wrong with a titled dog having an "SG"!!!! As long as it is a working line dog! The "V" is usually reserved for showline dogs with an occasional workingline getting one (hand picked judges and very very good dogs!!!) but it is not common for a WL to get a "V"....so an 11 x V dog will assuredly be a showline dog!

Aside from the ratings themselves, I think it would be more rare for a working line dog to be shown 11 times in the 24+ class. I haven't even shown my show line dog 11 times in all venues combined let alone 11 times minimum in one class.
