Default Who Are Your Favorite Dams?

We always hear about how important good female are to breeding, but never hear as much about them.

So, who do you think the most influential (or just your favorite) bitches are? Let's say--your top 3. And of course, WHY?

Regarding the influence of bitches, just try to find a German shpwlines pedigree that doesn't go back to progeny of Palme WildsteigerLand somewhere in it!

Afra Stoppenberger Land - 44 puppies on PDB from several studs, incl Xando Karthago (3xV in BSP, BSP sieger) and Fado Karthago (WUSV sieger).

Umsa Bungalow - 25 puppies on PDB incl Gildo, Torro, Troll Koerbelbach.

Vina vom Schwegermoor - Not well known, but the first bitch I knew well that produced good working puppies. I never owned one of her descendants, but worked many.

I wouldn't rely on that number count on PDB. It can be wrong. Ive seen some studs where it has the number of progeny at 200+

Pia Akbar from a few years back(produced multiple world team participants with different sires). Currently my fave is Carrie Fohl's(Hillview) girl, Baghira von der Riesling Route SchH3. She has a great temperament and is so far producing like temperament.

I don't know about "favorite"--but these are some consistently producing working-line females:

Wally vd Weinsbergtal

Hella vd Mutzbach

Queen vom Revolutionsküppel

Noditha v Teufelsgrund
