Heavy breathing

My GSD is almost four months old and I've noticed that he breathes heavily when he sleeps. It scares me because I think he's having a bad dream so I wake him up but it doesn't help. Is it normal for puppies to breathe heavy while they sleep?!

I recall that phobia as well....my furry gal was a heavy breather/ snorer as a pup as well. However, I have heard an old adage....something like.... let sleeping dogs lie.....there might be some wisdom in that saying.
