Joey was neutered last week. The vet said he may not get his winter coat this year.
Has anyone run into this situation?

Beau was neutered Oct 2011 and his coat went all to pieces . He was 8 at the time. It is hard to sort out the cause because he was having more problems later and we did a thyroid test and thyroid supplements helped.
But I have heard that and it did happen that it messed up his coat. Actually, I understand that just the anesthesis can do that. It does recover.
