I was reading that other thread about how often one grooms their dog and someone was talking about the blow dryer (I know this isn't what it's called but I hope you know what I mean. ) being a useful tool to get out dead hair.
So here's my question: do all groomers blow dry the dogs? I ask this because when I took Sasha the lady told me that it would be a while because German Shepherds take a long time to dry. So it's just now registering with me that she probably didn't use a dryer, right? Because Sasha was definitely there quite a while. I really don't care either way because I like this lady, Sasha seems to like her, and if she wasn't to let Sasha drip dry in her shop then I guess that's up to her. Would it be rude if I asked her about it though? Because if it would help with getting all that hair out I would totally be for it, and Sasha thinks my blow dryer that I use on my hair is very fun so I can't imagine it would bother her.

At the hospital I work at the groomers use a blow dryer (not a human one) and a drying cage. I usually see them give each dog a good blow out with the hand dryer and then put them in the drying cage. The blow dryer doesnt get them 100% dry so thats why I think they use the cage dryer as well. For bigger dogs that have a thick undercoat it can take a looong time! I walked into the grooming area one time when they were blowing out a husky. Oh my, thats a lot of hair! There was hair everywhere! It was like a snow storm, but with hair! I would ask your groomer what she does. If she doesn't use the hand blower, ask her if she would!
