Fur/Feathers On or Off?

I found a pretty good source of rabbits nearby, but they are whole with fur on. I've heard conflicting things about giving whole animals fur/feathers on (something about excessive fur and impaction?), but I feel like it shouldn't be a problem, right? Do you give whole prey fur/feathers on or do you skin it first?

I have been doing a lot of reading the last few days and found some great sites online. So far it seems like the general consensus is rip the fur off bunny, take out bladder, etc.
Chickens, take off the hard poky feathers, no biggie about the softer ones.

Here is a link to one I found that I like

Meat Rabbits

On this page, look to the left side, it has a breakdown and even shows the butchering.

Rabbits are super easy to butcher. Skin peels off like nothing. My dogs caught a rabbit during the winter and I butchered it for them. Didn't give them anything on the inside except for the liver and the heart. Cut the thing in half and gave them each a half...bones and everything.
