need input on liver

just made a partial switch to raw. I've always fed twice a day on kibble and since last week, i'm feeding raw in the morning and kibble in the evening. My question is on the raw meal in the morning is it a bad thing to use liver daily(about 1oz) or should it be used maybe every other day. Ive seen where some people feed everyday then where others use it maybe 2-3 x a week.Liver is the easier product to find for myself as spleen and such are not availiable. green tripe will be added to the diet as well as it just got delivered. would it be considered as an organ meat and would it be better for the kibble meal or raw meal. any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

I feed liver mostly for the organ meat....harder to find other organs. I do feed it daily. I mostly feed lamb liver.
Green tripe is not organ meat, I consider it more muscle meat. It has natural digestive enzymes, probiotics, so a great supplement to each meal. I usually give a heaping spoonful of tripe daily.

If you are feeding kibble in one meal and raw in another, your dog may have some digestive issues, depends on the dog of course, but sometimes that change up is hard on the gut.

thanks onyx'girl for the reply and info. Just starting out all the help is greatly appreciated cause there's a lot info to take in. i would really like to be able to switch completely to raw but for my situation right now its better with the half/half. I was really worried about the upset of stomach but luckily both dogs took to it without issues so far. been feeding that way since last Friday so hopefully we're in the clear til something arises but I hope nothing does. We'll see how they like ground green tripe in the morning with their meal or do you think it would be better served over their serving of kibble in the evening instead. Usually they get a good dollop of ***e all natural nonfat greek yogurt on the kibble.

Onyx's opinion match mine....keep the raw and kibble separated as much as possible.

The organ portion of a raw diet should not solely consist of liver....find some kidney, spleen, lung (?) or pancreas. Heart is great as well but does not constitute organ meat but contains many quality components other meat sources do not.

Thanks SuperG, will definitely try seeking out some other organ meats. Hopefully I can find some cause locally I've not seen anything but chicken and calve liver. I might have a lead on things that's about an hour away so not terribly inconvenient, even if it was my packs worth it.
