If my gsd eats 14 pounds a week can't I just decide how much to feed each week by splitting it into percentages . Sorry if that don't make sense lol but if I'm doing 50-45-5% then for example I'll do each week
50%(RMB) of 14 pounds = 7 pounds
45% (MM) of 14 pounds = 6.3 pounds
5%(om) of 14 pounds = 7 ounces
Would that eating plan work ? Where I'm feeding her exactly what she needs not too much or little .
If I am understanding your question correctly....I don't see why each and every meal needs to be balanced with the %s you have chosen for a healthy raw diet. I know I have read that the overall %s should be adhered to over a period of time not necessarily every day or meal. However, I know if I were to give my dog her organ requirements in 1-3 larger portions over a week, I would assume she might have a case of the runs. Same with giving her a weeks worth of bone requirements in 1-3 servings...her stools would be crispy. I also understand that diversity/variety in a raw fed dog's diet is a good thing, so different sources for RMB, MM and OM is a plus. Using your idea would make it easier to have this variety I believe.
I most likely do not have this variety for my dog's diet as I prepare batches which will last 20 days...the next batch I make will be different than the previous but for 20 days she eats pretty much the same ingredients.
I'm not sure I came remotely close to addressing your question...sorry
