Default Fish

So I want to feed Kono some fish. What kind of fish do you feed? I though of salmon and maybe sardines. Any types of fish that I should avoid? I am also going to freeze it for a few days to make sure its nonparasitic. How do you package them in a freezer? I bought some ziplock containers but should I still package them in the bags? Also how do you prepare the fish? Bones out? No head? Everything?

Thanks.

Default Fish

I do salmon mackerel and sardine...ground up heads and all...I do have it scaled and the innards pulled. I use Reditainer for the freezer.

whatever fish we're having for dinner my dog has
the samething. the fish is filleted and cooked.
when i give him canned fish it's in water, no salt added.
when i freeze fish i wrap it in plastic wrap then place
it in a freezer bag. i don't give my dog bottom feeders.
it probably won't hurt him.

You shouldn't feed any raw salmon from the west coast.

Personally I'd stick with smaller fish like sardines. Just toss them in a ziploc bag and stuff them in the freezer. No real special prep. Just toss it in the bowl come feeding time.

I work in a Fish Market..I agree no raw salmon.

I do feed alot of salmon poached, if you do bones, I throw a half a salmon (head and all) in a pot and let it boil down for hours,,then mash it up (I usually throw out the head)..this is a skinned half salmon.

But any salmon I use is poached, retain liquid as well..I've fed sardines/mackeral, just me, but I never feed it raw
