so im swiching my guy to Natures Instinct Raw food...prefer to go the prepackaged route, money isnt the issue, time and space is. gave him his first portion this morning, wanted nothing to do with it! took a few licks and a tiny bite and never came back lol...should i do the old school - "if u dont eat this food, u dont eat" method? ideally i dont want to mix anything in there to entice him to eat it as i dont want to be stuck having to mix something in with his raw food. I mushed up the pattie to make it easier to eat but still wanted nothing to do with it. gonna try again tonight tho...

yeah first raw meal ever, he used to eat kibble with a bit of canned food in there...
offered it to him at dinner and he ate it slowly, usually dinner he is more willing to eat and breakfast he will skip if he wants to be picky lol. if he continues to skip breakfast and not dinner, is it ok to stop feeding him dinner for a bit and only breakfast 2 make him eat a breakfast time? |

I had been feeding kibble and raw and used NV kibble and NV raw. At first I used the NV raw kibble mixed with his kibble and then eventually transitioned to the raw patties. I think making it into cubes probably helped your guy because he wasn't used to the consistency. I'm still feeding both because it's kind of expensive but I like that he's still getting some raw.
