My wife came home with a package of chicken hearts and gizzards. Is gizzard OM?
Walter is almost 11 weeks now and he's been on Small Batch chicken blend primarily. Lately we've been adding in a little cottage cheese and also some cut up chicken necks and backs. So, it's been all chicken so far. I ordered a few beef blends (from Small Batch) and will start introducing a little of that next week (maybe 25% of his breakfast - none for lunch and dinner). Then, work up to 50% beef blend for breakfast, etc. Is this too long of a time not to have introduced a secondary protein? Thanks, Mark |

gizzards can be considered muscle meat....the lowest form!
I'm not familiar with small batch. I would introduce green tripe and other proteins. Puppies usually do pretty well with variety, I'd rather have them use to several so the gut will NOT be sensitive as the pup ages. JMO, though. |
