Default Rabbits were on the menu last night

A few of the dogs took their rabbits whole, the rest got the ground up meal at dinner time.

Love my grinder, it grinds the bones, organ meat and muscle meat to create well balanced meals I can easily portion out at dinner time (as well as freeze extra for later!)

Do you gut the rabbits? Just curious, wondering if parasites are an issue or not.

NOOOOOO!!!! I have pet bunnies who sit on the couch and watch TV with us. That makes me sad.

I did post it in the BARF section of the forums, so I figured there was enough of a warning. And anyway, you would NOT want to cuddle up on the couch with a wild rabbit, they are MUCH different than domesticated rabbits.

As for parasites, no, I'm not too concerned. The rabbits all looked to be very healthy specimens and the dogs have always done fine with them. I do a monthly dewormer that covers pretty much everything just in case anything gets through.

The rabbits that were immediately fed to the dogs whole were not gutted, we gutted the ones we ground up and then added some of the organ meat into the grinder as well!
