Default Starting with venison?

I would like to maybe try doing some raw feeding. My husband is a hunter and I have lots of deer meat in the freezer. Would that be good for our 16 week old because it is so lean?

It would be ok as the Muscle Meat portion of the diet but you also need Organs and Raw Meaty Bones.

Also, you need to feed a variety of meats - not just one.

Pups do need some fat, lean isn't better. A chicken part with skin attached along with the venison will add fat.
Look at Lauri's site for important guidelines; feeding your puppy.

I think it's fine, but you'll need some bone in there and chicken is usually the go-to source in that regard. Organs I wouldn't add until the dog has normal stools on meat/bone.
