Default Not eating the chicken

Jack doesn't want to eat the raw chicken anymore. He ate it okay the first few days of going back to raw, but it got to be like pulling teeth to get him to eat it. I tried it without adding any additional items (oils) and he still was like nope. Since he doesn't eat whole raw well (without grinding) and my machine doesn't grind anything but chicken bones I've had to go back to canned for him now.

Oh well...I'm not going to fret it too much.

Me dogs would prefer cooked meat to raw anyday. But they do enjoy some occasional raw with their kibble. I either buy some ground meat(s) and add it to kibble, or buy ground whole animals (meat bones and organ) from the raw supplier and give that as a separate meal.

That is what I had to do with Jack to get him to eat kibble around Jan of this year for several months - top the food with something. Such a pain! We eventually just went with canned and I add some kibble to it (not every meal though). We did the premade raw for him last year but it got expensive quick. Thankfully I had a friend that gave me some coupons to help out. Finicky eater is Jack's nickname Thankfully the other dogs are pretty much cool about most anything. I'm wondering if in part it has something to do with consistency. He doesn't like gooey canned food or stew types. He prefers pate and the firmer the better.

Koda does not like his chicken thawed all the way, he likes it on the "chilled" side, not frozen. Have you tried giving him something else besides chicken? Maybe no chicken this week, then try again next week?

Stosh acts as though I'm trying to poison him if I feed him chicken- he actually hides under the kitchen table when he sees it in his bowl. He's definitely a beef eater, maybe Jack is too

How much does he weigh and how much are you feeding?
