Hii people. Been away for a while! Working on the farm etc. and not online so much anyway.
Need to order my food by tonight for pupster. But I can't remember and I can't find the thread on feeding percentages. Someone on here said something about 8-12 weeks 8%, 12-16 weeks 6%, 16-20 weeks 5% Or SOMETHING along those lines. I can't remember what the numbers are. Could someone help me out here? I know about the 2-3% of expected adult weight but i'd prefer to do it the way I mentioned above ![]() Thankyou! |

It's really not set in stone like that.
I start with around 7% of the pups 8 week old weight and then check them weekly. I weight them and go over them with my hands to FEEL how they are. Some weeks a pup will have a enormous growth spurt and you find yourself increasing their food intake mid-week! Some weeks they just maintain the same weight all week. Keep them trim but not too skinny and avoid the rolly-polly puppy look and you will be fine!
