I built my agility course using plans from the Yahoo Group: agility-equipment : This list is for the exchange of ideas regarding construction of dog agility equipment

I also go look at sites that have PVC products for sale (like afforadable agility.com) and try to figure out how I would make something similar from scratch. The yahoo group above has lots of plans on the site. You can get some specialized pvc pieces at Clean Run (like 4 and 5 way connectors that make things so much easier)... and tho I have made many from scratch I love the plastic strip jump cups that you just screw on to the pvc upright... sooooo much less work for a bit of $... check em on Clean Run. I also have made the table, dog walk and aframe from plywood (with a bit of help)... again I read the specifications in the AKC or USDAA or CPE regulations, look at some pictures on line, then figure it out.

Dogwise.com specializes in books about dogs. A few years back I got a book on "build your own agility equipment" It was very specific about how to make an A frame that was safe, proper construction of other jumps etc. I never made any of the equipment (moved before I got around to it) but it was just the right amount of detail.
