Hey all, we currently have a schutzhund type A-frame that we use for agility. It's super heavy and very difficult to move around. I really need something more portable and easier to stash in the training building. I've been thinking about constructing a smaller A-frame, perhaps 5' per side.
Has anyone trained with a smaller A-frame? Did you have any negative experiences? Thanks!

My experience is it will work just fine. As long as you have a 'real' aframe at your weekly training facility.
USDAA frame is higher than an AKC frame. And at my class alot of time we have the puppy class earlier and the aframe doesn't get put up all the way when it's the older dogs class. And my dogs do just fine. Nice to have some contact equipment at home to practice the 2on/2off. Important to make sure you absolutely have a full sized one to practice on at full speed also.....
