Help! Play biting or aggression biting?
This evening I tried to chain her as we were going to clean out her kennel. As I chained her she started going for my leg. I am not sure if she did it out of frustration or if she was play-biting as I know she is teething now. To make things worse, in a desperate attempt to avoid her bite which is very very painful, I accidentally pushed her down (thankfully she wasn't hurt). I moved away after that.

We have had the same problems with our 4 month old gs. She really likes to play bite and our trainer said that it's normal for puppies because that's how they play with their litter mates. If it continues and she wants to use you as a chew toy like ours does then you can put her into a submissive position by holding the scruff of her neck and pushing her to the floor, not hard tho! Hold her that way until her body relaxes and then you can give the release command. When you put her into that position you can say "no bite" and once she stops and relaxes praise praise praise her! You always want her to know when she's done a good job at what you asked her to do. I hope this helps!! Be patient and good luck!

Please don't use rolling a pup to work with the landshark phase.

Check this link out, LOTS of good information there for what is very normal for these pups.

Thank you for the info, I will try them the next time she does it. I really hope that it is just play biting. I might be over analysing things but sometimes it really seems as though she is doing it in anger, especially when she does it right after she is forced to do something she hates, like today (she hates being chained). She kept doing it everytime I went near her and kept acting crazy the whole time. She did stop when I said 'no' loudly though and I noticed her tail was wagging so I am kinda convinced she's just trying to play.
