Help! 10 month old male, aggression & trying to dominate?
I need help, I have a 10 month old male GSD. Little history got him at 8 weeks old, got him in puppy classes at 12 weeks, very intelligent and loves to play. At around 7 months old he started showing signs of agression just by his posture but was able to bring him everywhere, in the car, walks etc. Now in the car everytime he sees someone walking or they are parked next to us and they get out of the car he goes bezerk, barking, growling, so bad he broke my rear view mirror, also now when we go walking, everytime we pass someone he lunges at them. He goes to a off leash dog park 3 times a week, never showed sign of agression towards any dog or people there? Could it be his leash or he feels confined in the car?? Also my bf is working away and now seems to try to dominate me and he never does win but will still test me everyday. The past year I've had a car accident and have great deal of chronic pain, could this be why he always challenged me as he can sense pain as my weakness? I'm very assertive with him, he's not allowed on the furniture, he sits and stays until I tell him it's ok ex: for food, water, toys etc. he always has to work for everything and he is obedient most of the time but once a day will test me. Any advice??

A lot of people consider this to be a 'teenager' period developmentally. So I could see that it would be a time where he would try to 'push the envelope' with you. Consistency is the key, and it seems like you are doing fine.
Do you have any anxiety about driving or being alone on the street? It could be that he is feeding off of your emotion?
