My dog doesn't respond well to other dogs and people being directly in his face. He's fine if a dog is standing an inch away from his side but if it's head on, he jumps and tries to push them away. Any tips?
Also, he's still a puppy and can get overly excited in public. Does anyone have any unique tips to calm a dog down when leaving the house and being around people and other dogs? Thank you. |

As far as calm, I hear teaching "look at me" is a good idea. Bring some small treats in your pocket, get his attention, say "look at me", praise, then reward.

How old is he?
Just sounds like over excited play to me. Which many older dogs don't appreciate. How is he when running around with other pups his age? What happens in dog class? How many other dogs have you met and had him play with? You been able to do alot of this? Specifically around minute 2:00 ?
