So why is it any different with small dogs? Perhaps some are just nasty because its in their genes. Dogs that have those behaviors are bred and people just write it off to small dog syndrome. Quote:

I don't think people have bred these dogs FOR temperament, sadly, so I don't think they care - and I think that they are all over the board temperament wise. It's very sad.
I always like this site: Chihuahuas: What's Good About 'Em? What's Bad About 'Em? I stand by my thought that cruelty in a joking matter is not funny. If that makes me a "humor nazi" so be it. You never know what kind of sicko is reading this board and how easy it is for them to go from thought to action.

No worries, I wouldn't really try to act that out. Not that I don't say he's El Diablo, but thats just me. Anyways I think its a mix of both. I TOTALLY AGREE we have not helped this behavior, we enable it sometimes because its easier. I also agree its part of bad breeding.
My husband got him in college at Petsmart and he was "discounted" because he had been returned at 5 months. I know I was like, "Why did you think that was a good idea!?!?" Jeesh!! |
