Default Help me please.

My dog, Hiro has just very recently jumped up twice and bit me a few times. The wounds weren't deep, they felt like puppy bites to me. But it broke skin, just barely. I was holding him by his collar and my mother was moving around frantically, (We're moving.) He hasn't done this since he was a puppy. He has been itching a lot, considering that we're moving to the country and because of fleas. Could anybody please help me with this situation?

How old is he? My pups also did that quick lunge towards the face while they were young but with some stern no's they stopped. Always happened when they were anxious or excited- I imagine Hiro knows something's going on and is a little nervous.

Hiro is about three years old. We got him in June 2007. We are moving and my mom was going around getting boxes.

Maybe crate him or remove him from all the flurry of activity. Moving is stressful for everybody, try to be patient but firm

Okay, thank you. He's better now, he hasn't tried to bite or scratch as of yet.

I agree that it's probably the dog picking up on your stress from moving, and I also agree that you should crate him during the most stressful times, like packing and unpacking and such.

Also exercise tends to make a dog less anxious. Take him for a walk before and/or after packing sessions. Might help you de-stress a little, too.

We recently moved 2xs w/in 9 months. Panzer knew something was up both times. He was clingy and when we would leave and come back home we would be REALLY excited to see us and not leave our sides.
Once we got into our new home, he had some separation issues (lasted about 2 weeks) but has now settled down into his normal behavior patterns.

GSDs know and have a great ability to sense how we are feeling. That's why we all love them so much!

hmmm....I read the OP post multiple times. Some stuff doesn't really make any sense.

OP:
Why is your dog itching cause you are moving to the country? If he has fleas, why not get him treatment.

If you are holding the dog by the collar, how can he possibly jump up on you?

basically a scratch?

I think it will be best if tell your mother to take things easy and not run around the house like a wild goose
