Vendors will be allowed to create new threads posting their products/services for sale in the newly created Germanshepherds.com Vendors forum area.

No spamming allowed and no posting threads in areas outside of this vendors area for selling purposes.

But "vendors" will be able to post to any thread giving their advice, right? As long as they are not posting an "advertisement".

Oh yes... vendors can participate in every discussion here but when it comes to posting one of their products/services for sale, it must be done in the vendors area ONLY.

I am writing up a thread for the Vendors... it's coming.

I'll look for the thread and hope that there are no other fee's associated with offering items for sale. $49 a month is a little steep for just having the ability to post items. No offense intended, but the site traffic here is not enough to consider paying that fee for hope of sales. My opinion is that you would do better taking a percentage of sales, maybe 3-8%?

BTW, "do better" means attract more vendors

Thank you for your input. We'll see how things go and if things need tweaking in terms of pricing, I guess the responses will show.

I'm just being nosey since I don't have anything to sell, but do vendors have to buy a certain number of months to participate in your $49 a month Vendor Plan? The reason I ask is that many things that appeal to dog owners are reasonably priced, last a while, and it would take a lot of sales to for a small time operator to justify coughing up a $49 fee month after month but I can see where it might pay them to advertise in a forum such as this maybe once or twice a year.
