We rescued this GSD today and the woman we got him from said he is purebred as far as she knows. We will obviously love him either way but I'm curious of your opinions. He seems small for a male and currently isn't as muscular as he should be but we will be exercising him more... Not sure if that will change much. His tail also curls up often. Something about the face seems different. Maybe his snout seems shorter because we have a female whose snout is longer. Purebred? Mixed with something?
His conformation does suggest husky... fetlocks too straight, hind legs too straight, not enough angle to the shoulders, hips not deep enough, croup too short, muzzle too short... this is a quick unprofessional opinion, but I think it's pretty accurate.
i would not necessarily say that conformation is automatically husky
with some poorly bred gsd (not a knock on your dog op my dogs are rescues too!) you can get this kind of conformation
he is very handsome mix or not!
I see a backyard bred German Shepherd with what is called a "gay" tail carriage.
