These are Legend's hips from yesterday, he was 1 day shy of 7 months, weighed in at 41lbs. The link will load a larger image. Very happy with the results, it's a huge sigh of relief since statistically I feel I'm overdue to have a dog with bad joints. We are clear to start beginner puppy agility.

Congrats! I'm hoping for the same result when we do our xray.....but wont be for a while. At least I have the deck stacked in my favor. Parents are good (one is excellent, the other good), the proper nutrition, and easy on the joints.

I was a little nervous, my puppy has been kind of a wild child (have to really try to keep him from jumping around, I don't encourage it) and he's had a few minor injuries like running into a person (and tearing ligaments in her knee!) and accidentally getting landed on by an adult dog, but I think like human babies they can recover from those things without major breaks or lasting damage. Also being that I own the sire, the hip and elbow production is important to me.

Thanks! We're not sending them in, as long as things look normal, I just wait for official ratings at 24 months. It is mainly to see whether to pursue sports and more active training or what sort of activity is/isn't appropriate as the dog ages. The vet said they looked "very good" and didn't need a specialist opinion (I like my vet, he will tell me when to get a second opinion).

I'd take those in a heartbeat! Position is good and they look fine! Congratulations!
