Default Help!! Anal fistulas

Hi, okay I'm going to start off in the very begining so please bear with me!
In 2009 I bought a cute little GSD. He was around 12 weeks old. He is ACK registered. I bought him in Kentucky. I picked him up and he was covered in fleas. On our way back home I stopped and got flea shampoo and free medication. He was eating perina puppy food. All was going good. 6 months goes by and I'm now living in Tennessee. Again, all good with charm. (The GSD.) one day I was driving and he was in the truck bed. He pooped and started to eat it. I didn't think anything of it but I pulled over and cleaned it up and told him no. A week or two later, a guy in front of me hit a deer. My boyfriend and I at the time waited for the deer to die and took it to teach me how to gutt a deer. While gutting it my dog look off with the leg. I didn't think it was bad. At the time I was stupid enought to let him have it. He ended up eating alot of the deer. (Mistake on my part.)
Everything was going okay still. A few weeks later charm got kicked by a horse we think because he came back to the house limping. We took him to the vet, got him Xrayed and was told he had hip displasia. He started on some meds. (He took them for about a month and the limping went away so stopped)About 2 months later I moved back home to Chicago (with charm.)
He is about 7 months old at this point. He starts to have trouble pooping. He can't go, at all. We took him to the vet and we were told he's depydrated. They give him an IV he he goes within an hour. About a week goes by and he's having trouble pooping. He's trying and trying but nothing is happening. Take him back to the vet, they give him some loose stool meds for us to take home. They work. The Worked so good now he just leaks poop. he leaks about a size of a quarter of diahrrea when he tries. We bring him back to the vet and they examine him. They tell us he has anal fistulas. We start treatment (medication and cleaning him, clipping the hair around his anus, everything we try. We do. Nothing is working- for about 6 months he doesn't get any better. Starting to look real sick, loosing weight, not eating. (On prescription dog food at this point.) nothing is working. We take him to another vet for a second opinion. Same thing. Keep doing what you are doing. He's not that bad where we need surgery. Keep doing what we are doing for another 5 months. Nothing is changing. He look like a dog you'd see off TV that's starved, he leaks from his butt, but at the same time, he loves to play! You throw that ball and **** run after if for hours! (He's drinking water still and eating but just can't poop) we have trying raw diet, cooked chicken, dry food, wet food, organic food, you name it, we have tried it! Money is not an issue when it comes time to our love ones, 2 feet or 4 paws.) we go to another doctor for another opinion ( still friends with our first vet and she refers us to this other one) he tries laser treatments. Wow! They worked! He actually had a few soild poop with the treatments and medication and topical ointment! We after 2 months it went back to the start. The vet told us this is just what it is. He will never get better. It will come a day where you decide when to put him down. He's not in pain. He leaks poop. When he tryies to go poop he does hurt. But it's more of a sanitary issue because he's leaking all over your house. It's been years charm has been having trouble pooping. He is a great dog. The reason they won't do surgery is because the anus isn't bad "enough." He is 5 now. We still haven't have up on him.
When I say we I mean me and my dad and mom. I'm grown and married now but my dad fell in love with charm. He really is a loving dog and when we moved my dad asked if he could keep charm. I agreed. I can't afford to get the dog lasered every week and all the medication he is on. Thank heavens for wonderful human grandparents charm has who loves him unconditionally.
I told you all of this because yesterday I got a call from my mom who was crying. Charm isn't doing good and they will have to put him down if they can't get him back up. They want to give him one more great go. Any information, any suggestions, anything would be great! I'm flying home tonight to start some homeopathic remedies on him. I will be keeping you all updated. this is my first time asking a "forum" for help but I feel that after spending thousands of dollars on this pup maybe we are looking at it to in depth. Thank you so much for reading
