Wha is best way to curb humping?

I put this question in the middle of another thread about humping. I should have started a new thread, so here it is.

My intact 10 month old male has been friends with a spayed female corgi two months older than he is since he was four months old. They have always played rough, taking turns with chasing each other and tripping each other . . . well, ok . . . body slams.

My pup has JUST started humping her and I want it to stop before it gets out of hand. It isn't acceptable in my opinion. (He doesn't hump anything or anyone else.) Is the best way to pull him off and then distract him with a yummy treat and his favorite toy? What happens if he continually ignores me?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
