My female Sasha is 16 months old and began displaying an almost arthritic condition yesterday. She was almost unable to stand and was reluctant to try. When coaxed she did and her back legs were shaking and showed signs of weakness. She quickly returned to a lying position. When my wife returned she did not even stand to greet, normally we can barely keep any part of her on the ground from her excitement. Took her to the vet who administered anesthesia and x-rayed her hips. Hips look excellent which is a relief. Lyme disease tests came back negative. Neurologically she appears fine. No fever. Basically the vet says she's fine and prescribed some anti-inflammatory pills and sent us home.
Today she has a reduced appetite and can't easily get upstairs. She is clearly not herself. Thanks for any ideas.
