Default Finally...It's Almost Over

Words cannot express how happy my heart is right now...It feels like it's ready to jump out of my chest...

My surgeon said today that it's going to be two more weeks, MAYBE three before I finally have my skin graft. I've waited two and a half long months for this moment, to hear those words. He's going to make an appointment to set it up.

It's almost over, and it's been an incredible journey so far. I'm SO ready for this final phase.

Again, I owe so much to my friends, family, and fiancÚ. Without you support I don't know how I would have made it this far. You've all taught me that I DO have the strength to make it through a hardship like this, that it's possible to come out the other side a stronger person. Your love, care, and simply being there for me has made all the difference in my ability to keep a positive attitude and push forward....

I especially need to thank my incredible Mother for taking care of me, for always being there for me, for lifting my spirits, helping me to see that there IS light at the end of the tunnel. I need to thank you for simply taking me around the block in my wheelchair so I can do what I love...Photography. I need to thank Amanda Dunn for showing me that I need to take one day at a time, and to make those days count, rather than counting the days. I also need to thank my fiancÚ, Ian, for showing me that if I focus and put my mind to it, that anything is possible. Without your love and support, you've taught me about what's important in this life...To take care of and love myself, believe in myself...For that I am eternally grateful. I'm coming sweetheart...I'll see you soon.
