Crate: Most will tell you to get a small crate to start or divide a larger crate. I don't care for the cage crates and prefer the plastic transport style crate. We put our pup in a 30" crate, no divider, no problems.

Food: The big food debate. Start with what your breeder is feeding. Ours sent some food home with us.

Toys: We always had Nylabones with the rubber insert to message the gums. All our pups love these. I would watch overly hard toys on puppy teeth. This will spawn another debate..

Bath and Meds: You can go as crazy as you want here. I'm a simple person and just used a baby shampoo. I don't have problems with fleas and don't like dosing my pup with unnecessary chemicals. Others will disagree.

Training: Puppy collar, leash, some treats. Which could include a toy.

Accessories: Dog bowls, they kind that won't tip. A container for keeping dog food fresh. Simple puppy collar and a 4' leash to start.
