She looks really young so I would NOT recommend a bark collar for this.
I'd really up her exercise during the time in your schedule that works out. I also have shift work and an adjustable schedule, so our dogs CAN learn to adjust. But for my girls, I have to exercise them when I am able, so they are tired and well behaved when crated.
I have to keep the crate right beside the bed. I know some people that when their pup/crate are small they can actually have them on a table at the same level as the bed. Most of the time if my pups can see me and my hand can be in the crate, they settle down. I also like the filled kongs/purple squirrel dudes to keep them quiet and busy. The squirrel dudes are big enough you can fit a meals worth of kibble in them.
