I most likely do not use "proper" hand signals but they all work for the result desired.

A fist = sit

An open hand with a slight lowering motion = down

An open hand held in front of face or extended from my body = wait

On one knee with my forearm across my body in front of me = perch

One hand making a motion like somebody is always yapping = speak

Both arms wide open = come

Most any dog is smart enough to equate a body gesture or hand signal to whatever desired result you want.
