This is all that I know. He is a rescue with the Oklahoma Humane Society. He and 10 other pups were taken into custody at 8 days old. Their mother died and "probably" the BYB didn't know what to do. I presume that this puppy wasn't bred with any standards. I am rescuing an unknown but I am so excited! He was born on 10/20/2013 so he is barely 8 weeks old. I'm going to meet the foster family tomorrow and pick him up, sight unseen. It's okay. Sasha had a similar beginning and Sasha is the most amazing dog I've ever had or I ever imagined. We will take it a day at a time. This poor baby of a pup needs someone who practices NILF and who is willing to put the time into his training.
My college age son is home, as of today. He is on break and he wanted the puppy. He has named him Hans. I'm not so sure about the name but I figure that Sasha is so much my heart dog that my son should have a say in "Hans" name. Like I wrote, we'll take it a day at a time. I remember when Sasha was young and I thought she was a demon dog. But, the good thing is that it is winter and I can wear long sleeves, unlike Sasha where I ended up looking like a meth addict because I had so many puppy bites on my arms.
So, I think we'll be fine. I'm a little scared for the pup's sake. I hope we do well for him. I'll post pictures on Sunday.
