Default Pano and Down Pasterns

My german shepherd puppy (5 months old - 48 pounds) has pano and I just noticed that his pasterns on the left leg are down. This left leg where he has been limping now appears to be slightly bent outward.

I took him to my vet and to a radiologist - this bones, elbows and hips are fine. The x-rays were all good. The limping is caused by pano. They (the vet, the importer) told me to crate the puppy, limit exercise and I am giving him herbal painkillers.

His food/calories are cut by 1/3. He is on three cups of kibble - Blue Mountain Large Breed. Originally he was 1/2 raw and 1/2 kibble.

I am giving him NuVet supplements.

The dog is Cezch import - german showlines. He is pink papered.

What else do I need to do?

Can his pasterns ever get back to normal ?

What dog food should I give him ? I have tired Nutro and Blue to-date.

His weight increase around 3 pounds a week - I have been keeping an accurate log of weekly weigh ins.

The importer does not appear too worried - he says it is normal and the puppy will outgrow the pano and the pasterns will straighten. He also said I can go see his vet if needed.

My vet is very holistic and did not prescribe any commercial painkillers.

Thanks
