I probably should have said something to the effect that I am not here for a doggy play date, I am looking to show and want my dogs to ignore other dogs.
Some people can get their point across without sounding irritable. I fail miserably at this. Everyone would be talking about that nasty hag with the shepherds.
gsdsar, see, that's the thing. This guy is in a Rally class, he should know better. He should understand that not everyone wants their dogs to see other dogs and think it is play time. He isn't a new-comer. I trained Joy 3 years ago there and he was there training the BC. I'll cut some slack for a newbie.
Good news for today, Lassie took treats from the lady she has REALLY distrusted the last couple of weeks, and I got her to do the tunnel a couple of times too. Karma was full of PandV today, but she managed to go the the little rally course at the end of class, and the final exercise of sitting while I grabbed a plastic bag off one chair, moved to the next, sit while I put an egg carton in it, and then move to the next, sit, while I remove the carton and put it and the bag on the third chair.
So, they are being exposed to some crap we will never do in the real world, but they are doing it pretty nicely, and they are having fun. What more can I ask?
