Pack dynamics are settled in a number of non verbal postures and behaviours. I would not leave them unsupervised till they have worked out the heirachy of who gets first. If they are still nudging each other out of the way for the hand that feed and pets they have not settled the who is really in charge issue. Don't forget one of the dogs can be the princess, but the humans have to be God in order for your pack to function properly and for them to be calm/submissive. As long as the issue remains unsettled there will be the possibility of a showdown which could escalate to a fight very quickly.
