Need Tips & Help Correcting Bad Habbit
So I have a very smart & playful shepherd. She has multitudes of toys suck as kongs, balls, ropes, etc. One day, she decided to pull a loose brick from the fire pit & carry it around. We thought it was a bit weird & didn't think much of it. Few days later, we had a few friends over & she was carrying around the brick again. Fiance took it & tossed it a few times & she fetched it every time. She always takes great care to pick it up slowly, but now we cannot get her to stop playing with bricks! She tries to bring them in the house, **** near drops them on your feet. Keeps destroying the fire pit by taking the bricks from it. Ignores all of her other toys. We have tried to correct this behavior, mainly through discipline, but within a few moments, she has another brick in her mouth!
Anyone have any good training tips to help bust this behavior?
I know it;s partially our fault for throwing the brick like a toy & that it's going to take some work, but I'm at a loss on what to do. Help please...
