Took my pup to the vet yesterday. We go once a month so he doesn't forget that he likes the vet. He had an issue a month ago with limping (he banged into a post while chasing his softball). Was on crate rest for 2 weeks and has been off crate rest for 2 weeks now. He has had no limping and getting around fine.
A month ago, the vet found one elbow a bit suspect (crackling? I can't remember what he said .. anyway, didn't sound like the other elbow). He thought the limping might be from that, but I figured it was from banging into the post .. regardless the crate rest would take care of both.
He reeaxamined the elbow and it's still . eh .. not sure if it's pano or something else and since it was asymptomatic he didn't recommend doing anything at this time. Since the visit, he has been limping slighly. I assume it was from all the manipulation of his joint (he did a LOT of manipulation of it).
Anyone else had a dog come back from the vet limping when they didn't go in that way??
I assume that it will clear up in a couple of days if the vet strained it somewhat. Just looking for some commiseration, other experiences. Thanks.
