I have not tried satin balls - maybe I need to up my game with richer and more flavorful offerings. Eggs, beef and chicken help sometimes, other times not. What dog turns their nose up at BEEF?
My husband is convinced that we're going to turn him into a spoiled brat, and he wants to convince the dog that kibble is his food, period. He thinks if we continue to dress up his bowl every day that he'll always expect the royal treatment. I know that this can be a pain, especially if we have to board him or have others come over and feed him if we go away, but right now he needs to get some weight on. He's about 95 pounds and ought to be 120 at least.
I'll try some more creative options for snacks - even liver treats for obedience class do not interest him. *sigh* I wind up giving my treats to other handlers in the class, even though we don't feed him prior to class.
Here he is: Maybe he didn't HEAR us call him for dinner?
