Wow I am so jealous of your house breaking success...hehe
Silas has learned very quickly how to get up on the bed via steps I built, where his food bowl is etc...but the bathroom thing is just trying to say the least....LOL
I am pretty vigilant as well, I work from home so I catch him most every time and take him straight out, praise and treat when he goes. He just has not grasped it yet for some reason. I don't think it has ever taken this long before with other dogs I have had, BUT on a brighter note now when I catch him with a stern outside, instead of me swooping him up, he swoops himself outside through the puppy door or to it anyway, so I know it is starting the click....yay!
We have actually been back and forth on the name but we are sticking with it. I love it too!
It is nice to have a helping hand but sandy is 13 yrs older than I am at 42, not that it matters as she seems to have more energy than I but she is perfectly fine with sitting back and letting me take care of him. It is her wisdom kicking in I guess.
. We have been together for 21 yrs so it is definitely give and take, She does not hesitate to help when I need it. But she is more of the stance she loves and I discipline....there goes that wisdom again
I also work from home so by the end of the day i am worn slam out and that is just keeping an eye on him, playing with him and trying to House break him, never mind any other training I want to do or work for that matter...LOL. All in good time. I keep saying once he is house broken we will work on other stuff. We have slowly been working on come and he has done pretty well with that.
Actually my office is in the puppy room so he does pretty good with that and will usually lay under my desk while I work.
I know I will look back at this time a couple of years from now and miss it.
Speaking of work, I need to get busy
