Exactly. She told me not to take him into the off leash area because same here, my dog park has had quite a few bad fights. And I did learn the hard way not to take maxx there, he was the target for a lot of mean dogs. And my trainer said that his few interactions with dogs at the dog park probably contributed to him being afraid
Yeah.. If this doesn't work then he will be going to a class too, but I just wanted to try this first and see what happens

My dog never got in a fight he just made quite a show of aggression when he saw a dog. The reason, I think, was because when he was younger my parents pit/shepherd mix went after him a couple of times and had him pinned against a wall. I stopped taking him there, because a dog that I always thought was friendly really did not like Riley.
I recently took Kaleb over to my parents making sure their dog was outside and their dog was growling at him through the screen door. They will never be in the same room together until they get their dog trained. Kaleb wasn't phased by it though.
