Since our dog park seems to attract a few idiots I' will gladly stay away.
My dog was dog aggressive though. He did not mellow even at a distance at the dog park. My traniner said not to take him there anymore to bring him to a class. Yes, he did react when we first got to class, but mellowed after about 5 minutes of being around the other dogs. Something he would not do at the dog park. Our dog park just has/had some type of weird vibe that he did not like. There was a pretty bad fight in the off leash area when we were there. Maybe he was just sensing a bad situation.
Exactly. She told me not to take him into the off leash area because same here, my dog park has had quite a few bad fights. And I did learn the hard way not to take maxx there, he was the target for a lot of mean dogs. And my trainer said that his few interactions with dogs at the dog park probably contributed to him being afraid
Yeah.. If this doesn't work then he will be going to a class too, but I just wanted to try this first and see what happens
