Sorry if this is not in the right location. So I am looking for advice/knowledge/experience on how to deal with babies of the two and four legged kind. So I currently have Nikko, a male white GSD, who is 5 1/2 months old. I recently put a deposit on a oversized long coat male that will be coming home the first week of Nov at 8 weeks old (currently 4 weeks old). I will be co owning this lil guy with my breeder. Well this morning it was confirmed I am pregnant (we have been trying for over a yr), still very early (3-4 weeks), but I am still trying to get my ducks in a row
Let me start by saying Nikko is the best behaved dog I have ever had. Not once has he went potty in the house, he doesn't really bark, listens extremely well, has no aggression and is completely submissive (which is why we agreed bringing in another male would not be an issue). his temperament is beyond amazing. The new puppy is of SL and drive is medium (basing off parents) and has AMAZING genetics so I am hoping for another super easily trainable pup. We have no other children but Nikko LOVES children!
Am I crazy to think all this is possible to handle? Any advice in how to deal with pregnancy (high risk) and 2 pups? I still plan on getting the new pup because i see it as Nikko will be over a yr old and the new one will be around 10 months. Both will be trained by that point. But I am concerned if I am overwhelming myself. I'm just looking for some input or someone who has been through a similar situation
