Warning! This post is picture heavy- I'm a proud parent!
I've been lurking on this forum for the past few weeks. I have wanted a german shepherd for a really really long time. I had been stalking craigslist, petfinder and other online classifieds, shelters and just couldnt seem to find a German shepherd puppy (or adult) very close that I could afford. We drove 3 hours away to pick this girl up.
I was able to sit in the passenger seat and hold her the whole way home and she was SOO good. Cried for just a little bit the first 5 mins, and just cuddled with me the rest of the way. The first few days she stayed underfoot or ON my feet.
Such a sweetie. She was just little over 6 weeks when we took her, I've since learned that many think that age is too young to be leaving mom. I was hoping you guys could give me some pointers on any negative affects that may come from her doing so. When will food aggression start if it does? I bought a few clickers and have dabbled with that some, still watching you tube videos to educate myself... but she responds so well to the clicker! Already knows sit, and hi-five... although her attention span is so short we keep our "treat/play sessions fairly short."
This next picture is one of my faves, but I took it at dusk so it is really grainy!
..and here is a picture of her mommy and daddy. They were both on site.
I still have so much to learn! It is hard to say at this point who she will take after in the colors/coat department?
