A few weeks ago we took advantage of the nice weather and went hiking with Trent at Silver Falls. It was his first time hiking in years, and we all had a lot of fun.
Unfortunately I didn't get many pictures, because I just cannot adjust my camera settings quickly enough to catch up with the lighting changes (under the shade to in the sun to back in the shade, etc.). Hopefully I'll do better next time, but here are a few pictures from our day!
Posing for a quick picture
Taking a short break
Love the scenery! And it looks like Trent agrees.
THIS is where he gave me a heart attack. On the other side of this look out point is a million meter drop straight to the bottom. Recently I've been asking Trent to jump on platforms/table tops/chairs for fun, and he got the idea that I wanted him to jump on this
, too. I think my mother and I actually screamed when he hopped up.
I immediately demanded that he come back down... after I got a snapshot, of course!
"It's not that high..."
This was the view... I didn't even look over far enough to see the bottom because I was so terrified.
The smug boy
Cooling off after the hike
Took a quick picture together! We're both exhausted from our 4-5 hour hike.
Some other pictures from the hike:
One of the many waterfalls along the trails
And okay, this was from a different hike, but I'm including this little guy anyway!
All in all a great day! We'll definitely be going more often.
