If anything, if you go to trainer or group that is more OB (sport) focused, they tend to be stricter. I've walked the BH routine and I've walked the CD routine... guess which ones less forgiving.
Yes but you sound experienced and the OP does not. Ending up in the wrong kind of obedience class could do more hurt than good. If you find a GOOD club they will help you with all of the training. Or like a said a good motivational puppy class, sure. But we don't know what kind of obedience class they signed up for at 12 weeks, when talking about dominating and all that.
