I feel your agony. My across the street neighbors have a poo-mix of something but when the dad is home he walks it on a leash. When he isn't home the kids just open the door and let the dog roam. It has chased my feral cats from their feeding station, eaten the food, and spilled the water, not to mention driving my dog crazy and pooping in my yard. My husband talked to the dad a couple days ago.The dad said yes it's the kids that let the dog out and he doesn't but he does nothing to stop it from happening either. The kids need a good talking to about the road and the dangers of the US Mail semis going by to get to the back of the post office and how their dog could get killed but I cant do it as they barely speak English, even though dad does. Previous people in the same rental let their dog out the same way. The day after I warned the lady her dog could get hit, it was killed in the road by a car going by. I was in my back yard when it happened and just happened to be looking over the fence when the lady came running out - she looked over at me as if it was my fault while I was still dressed in my robe and hadn't even been out of my yard.
