Me and my friend are very interested of asking you people about gsd trends in other countries.
First about we would like to hear what you have to say about these following dogs which we picked up from the internet. Here in Finland and in finnish animal boards these dogs are called very ugly, too angled and that they got horrible curved backs.
Itís a trend here that only working-line gsdís (no mather how they look) are beautiful, elegant and healty dogs. There isnít many show-line gsd owners who even dare to say that there is beautiful and healty dogs in show-line. You only get direct insults how you are moron and blind not see those dogs are sick, even when those dogs are proof to be healthy by veteranians and by the kennel club.
The other thing that bothers us is the rumor (or the knowlige like they called it..) that when show-line gsd with Schh result or certification in breeding value is imported from Germany, those results are bought. And that means EVERY RESULT on imported show-line dogs.
But if show-line gsd gets IPO result here in Finland; working-line gsd owners will say that judge was very approval about the dog and forgave many of itís mistakes. So if you own a gsd from show-line here in Finland you are total outcast on dog world. You cannot even dream about trying IPO training if you own black and tan gsd because no IPO-trainer will take you to the group and will not even try to train your dog.
Of course in Finland there are breeders that breed sick dogs in both lines. So this message is not meant to bash working-line gsdís or their owners.
