I think our ER is $135 just to walk through the door. But, they have to have vets and staff available all night which can be hecticly busy or totally dead.
The 24 hour clinic with the labs and experts, usually work well with me, and try to manage it so that I do not get stung for everything. I mean like when I spent the night there with the dog, but we waited for 9AM to do the surgery, so they charged me regular price, instead of a premium for everything for being after hours.
The gas attack (bloat scare) on New Years was a holiday -- premium, which really hurt.
You really have to look at your dog. Lethargy, weakness, coupled with the vomiting, I think is an emergency. It sounds like it is getting progressively worse, and quickly.
