Help! Puppy Legs/Pain
Sorry this is long I am really confused though since he is young.
My puppy has a vet appointment but it isn't for another week and I am so stressed I cannot sleep. The dog is under a year old. Since we got him his back legs seemed off, like he didn't have full control of them they were goofy and sway. He also has a weird slant to his butt that is just very sharp not sloped like my other GSD. The breeder said he was "growing into his legs" Well the past month the dog a handful of times did not sit when I asked so I touched GENTLY, just touched him to remind him, his bottom and instead of sitting he fell to the ground and his hind started shaking uncontrollably. Then he seemingly could not stand and chased his hind legs in circles while laying on the floor. No crying or anything and its lasts UNDER a minute it just feels like a life time. I keep trying to get it on video but it is so fast and random even with a cell phone I haven't yet.
1. I am connecting dots while waiting for his vet appointment. The dog has NEVER sat right. He does what I call the "lazy sit" his legs go out to the side but he almost never sits anyway, just lays. He runs on his own, tries to rough it with my older dog, will climb stairs and last week started thinking he can sit on my couch. He isn't in pain that I can tell unless this happens.
2. He has OCD, he chases his tail. I mean it is really bad. We were instructed to put him down by everyone. We have dumped a ton of money into him and "improved" the condition so that he seems like a happy pup but all day long we are reminding him not to rip his own tail off. I have read this is incurable. MAYBE something is actually wrong with hips and he is displacing it to the tail???? Probably not because he chases tail when he gets happy and excited, but I keep going back to it.
3. Less important. This may be extremely stupid but I have never experience this before. His "red rocket" is always out. Always. It does go in but probably about 80% of the day it is fully extended yet he is NOT humping anything. Is this normal? None of my other dogs ever did this.
